Our Mission Statement
Dear Visitor,
When I graduated from High School in 1997 the internet was only becoming popular. I remember my first e-mail
account and ten years later technology has become a modern convenience and necessity in our modern way of life.
Under my leadership and with the assistance of Mrs. Nancy Kline and Mr. Chuck Page we have re-activated the
parish website established by Fr. Keith Canterbury. It is my hope that this website will become a tool for all involved
in our parish family. If you are a parishioner, a curious visitor or just “surfing” the net, I welcome you to our new
parish website. I hope that you will enjoy your visit to the only Catholic parish existing in Trinity County. I have
every bit of confidence and hope that this website will become a modern tool of evangelization. On October 29,
2009, our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI addressed Members of the Pontifical Council for Communication:
The great social changes that have occurred in the last 20 years have demanded and continue to
demand an attentive analysis of the presence and the action of the Church in this field. The
Servant of God John Paul II recalled that: "Involvement in the mass media, however, is not
meant merely to strengthen the preaching of the Gospel. There is a deeper reality involved here:
since the very evangelization of modern culture depends to a great extent on the influence of the
media". And he added, therefore "it is not enough to use the media simply to spread the
Christian message and the Church's authentic teaching. It is also necessary to integrate that
message into the 'new culture' created by modern communications".... All this constitutes a
challenge for the Church called to proclaim the Gospel to men and women of the Third
Millennium, maintaining the content unchanged, but rendering it comprehensible also thanks to
means and methods that are in keeping with today's mentality and culture....For believers, the
necessary evaluation of the new media technologies must always be sustained by a constant
vision of faith, in the knowledge that, beyond the means employed, the effectiveness of the
Gospel proclamation depends in the first place on the action of the Holy Spirit, who guides the
Church and the journey of humanity.”
It is for these reasons that we launch this parish website.
God love you and Mary Keep You!

We, the Catholic community of Saint Patrick Parish,
with the help of the Holy Spirit and united in faith,
are called by God to become a living example of the
message of Jesus Christ. Through prayer and the
Sacraments we endeavor to provide spiritual growth,
and increase in love and charity. We work to be of
service to all, especially our youth, and to reach out
to all people, inviting them to a personal relationship
of love and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
